AN INDUSTRIAL AND A FAMILY STORY

Our company was founded in 1986 in the province of Como, Lombardy, by Giuseppe Arrighi who has thirty years of experience in the refining of metals sector.  

The founder decided to set up his own business, dedicated to the production of zinc-based special alloys. He kept the family-run managementcommitted to the production with extreme precision. He has passed down his know-how and attention to detail, and his experience, to his children. 

In the nineties, Alessandro, Paolo and Annathe second generation of the family, joined the company. Driven by motivation and commitment, thefollowed in Giuseppe Arrighi’s footsteps, keeping his entrepreneurial spirit, while always looking for new opportunities. This guarantees high-quality products which deal with challenges of the future in an increasingly competitive market. 

Flexibility in production and management has allowed us to become one of the few European players able to offer the entire selection of zinc-based alloys and a completely customized production.

DIE-CASTING

In 2001, after decades in specializing in the production of zinc-based special alloys, the company also decided to commit to the production of zinc alloys for die-casting.

This choice required our company to undergo changes in production plants and methodology, as well as personnel development, to be able to respond to a market with very significant volumes.  

Since then, Ital Leghe has constantly invested in the production cycle, thus achieving high competitiveness and maximum quality standards. These are fundamental to meet the customers’ needsincreasing demands in terms of quality of the raw material used. 

Since 2012, the company has been attested with ISO 9001 Certification, guaranteeing its Quality Management System in the production of Zamak, zinc-based alloys and in the commercialization of metals

ITAL LEGHE PRODUCTIONS IN
THE EUROPEAN MARKET OF ZINC ALLOYS

In 2015, the decision was made to open to the European market. Thanks to the updates of production plantsall completely modernized, the company achieved a production of primary alloys close to 8,000 tons per year.   

Our state-of-the-art and automatic machinery enables reaching a replicable product, with complete traceability of both raw materials and production. This increase in production made Ital Leghe a well-established reality in the most relevant European market.  

In 2018, to expand its potential, Ital Leghe acquired a new industrial area next to the Headquarter in Guanzate, consisting of a 5000 Mq area, of which 3000 Mq is indoors.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT:
LET’S RECYCLE TOGETHER! 

We all know the concept of useless waste does not exist in nature. Indeed, when scrap comes from nature, it is absorbed by the environment and it returns into circulation.

 

This applies also to raw materials: materials recycling is not the trend of the moment or a strategy. It is a millennial practice which always allows metals to assume a new form and transform into something new, suitable for a new production. 

This concept is at the basis of the “circular economy” that we all should practice preserving the environment around us as well as our future. 

Committed to this for over 40 yearsItal Leghe knows well the importance of using materials to enhance waste generated by the production process. It is for this reason that we personally deal with the recycling of non-ferrous foundry metals. 

We chose to become valid partners in the collection and the recycling of melting waste 

We assure that unique industrial waste produced is metal-based and it will be assigned to those companies which are able to extract that metal, not through heat, but through chemical process.  

Consequently, concerning materials, our production cycle results in zero impact. 

Moreover, we make use of other beneficial recycling practices, such as the collection of any kind of zinc or Zamak scrapsuseful in the production of secondary zinc alloys in the brass production cycle.
